Ministers throw their weight behind small business development ahead of the 4th Smart Procurement World Expo in South Africa.

Minister of Trade and Industry Rob Davies and Minister of Small Business Development Lindiwe Zulu will address the Smart Procurement World Western Cape Conference and the co-hosted Enterprise & Supplier Development Expo/Africa Trade Summit.

Procurement and supply chain professionals, local small businesses and support organizations will welcome the Ministers to the Cape Town International Convention Centre on 7 March 2017.

They will discuss the imperative of creating linkages between small businesses and strategic partners’ supply chains, industries or sectors. Conference and Expo attendees welcome the insight and support of these departments in driving this important economic agenda.

South Africa is faced with challenging times; empowering small business – particularly black small to medium enterprises (SMEs) – is essential in growing and transforming the economy.

Smart Procurement World Western Cape and the Enterprise and Supplier Development Expo support the business case for ESD initiatives in South Africa, helping to develop sustainable, efficient and profitable enterprises that can create employment opportunities and grow the economy. This initiative is supported by the City of Cape Town.

Buyers from across SA visiting the Enterprise & Supplier Development Expo will be able to meet local, small black-owned businesses.
