Lomagundi Poles

Lomagundi Poles is a private limited company born out of East Timber, a company that was based in Mutare. The 17.5 meters long treatment plant was relocated from Mutare to Mount Hampden in 2004 signaling the birth of Lomagundi Poles. Lomagundi Poles has grown from strength to strength, despite the recession of tZimbabwe`s economy.

The company boasts of a labor force of more than 300 workers. They have a very vibrant market for both treated and untreated poles, in Zimbabwe and the sub-region. They supply markets in Botswana, Mozambique, Zambia & Kenya. The directors of Lomagundi Poles also boast of owning another Timber company based in Harare called Woodrow Eastlea which deals mostly with rough sawn timber.

Products & Services Offered

Lomagundi Poles is a supplier of creosote treated gum poles. Their plant treats gum-poles of up tp 17.5m long. No other plant can treat gum-poles of this length in Zimbabwe. They also supply untreated gum poles.These poles are used as electric and fencing poles.
